Newport station in South Wales - re-engineered First Great Western Class 43 HST powercar 43004 at the head of a scheduled London Paddington to Cardiff or Swansea service is at platform 2. On the right, an Arriva Trains Wales shuttle service between here and Cardiff, top-and-tailed by locomotives, 50049 and 37425 - both in BR Large Logo livery, waits at platform 1 with the Class 50 visible in this photograph.<br>
Between the two is EWS Class 60 locomotive 60015 heading west with a freight service.
