On 29 January 2005 Porterbrook's Class 43 HST power cars 43069 'Rio Enterprise' and 43070 'Rio Pathfinder' stand behind the National Railway Museum at York after taking part in the museum's 'Cab It' event of 13/14 November 2004.
They went to the NRM after finishing with 'Project Rio', Midland Mainline's temporary London-Manchester service covering for Virgin West Coast services during blockades for the West Coast Main Line upgrade.
On 3 May 2005 they were removed to Derby by FM Rail's 45112 'The Royal Army Ordnance Corps' for preparation for return to traffic working proposed extra summer 2005 services for Virgin Cross Country. Photo by Abu Hugh # microshaft@care4free.net
