Hastings 'Thumper' unit 1001 on this occassion is double-headed as this
picture shows with 2 power cars at the front of the train plus a third on the rear. These are not
paricularly powerful diesel units...around 600hp each from memory...and having all three cars available will
hopefully avoid any problems that might arise on route on what is a long day out for these trains.
