Here is view of one of the driver cabs of 222019 - one of a fleet of 16 4-car Meridians being delivered to Midland Mainline over the coming months. Class 222 is a 'refinement' of Classes 220/221 (all by Bombardier), and has received generally encouraging reviews from the public. I actually got off this particular train when I arrived at St. Pancras - plenty of legroom and comfort! (Which is more than can be said for the Turbostars in my opinion).

Meridians could be the newest passenger trains in Britain today. It was such a shame that I didn't take pics inside the train, although at the time I didn't care that much.
