Great Western Railway - UK Didcot Railway Centre is the living museum of the Great Western Railway. Diesel railcar number 22 was built in 1940 in Swindon and started operating from Newport. After being withdrawn in 1967 it came to Didcot in 1978. Didcot, 13-06-2025 Photo by Marco van Uden |
GWR Railcar No 22 is the only one of its kind in preservation. Built in 1940 it is currently waiting repairs
and all being well may return to operations again in 2004.
