First Great Western Class 143 railbus DMU 143617 and another, unidentified, Class 143 head towards Bristol with a Cardiff to Taunton stopping service. This photograph was taken when the units were about to pass through Pilning station in South Gloucestershire, the next station call on the service will be either Patchway or Filton Abbey Wood.
