Newport station in South Wales - Arriva Trains Wales Class 153 DMU 153320 heads a service to Cardiff Central. Because Rugby Union's Heineken Cup final between Munster and Biarritz was taking place at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium this service was strengthed to comprise three DMUS a Class 153 (153320), a Class 158 and a Class 150 (150282) for a total of 5 carriages.

Arriva Trains Wales Class 153 DMU 153321 at Swansea (Abertawe) station in South Wales. The unit is in a livery advertising the Heart of Wales Line, which runs from here to Shrewsbury via Llanelli. The livery was applied by predecessor TOC Wales and Borders, although it now carries Arriva branding.

Arriva Trains Wales Class 153 DMU 153361 crosses the level crossing as it approaches Craven Arms station with a southbound service to Swansea via the Heart of Wales Line. The line branches off immediately south of this station, but as there is no connection to platform 2 from where this photograph was taken, the signals are set to allow the train to utilise the crossover and call at platform 1 instead.
