cardiff-150-153-jp.jpg (119177 bytes)

Now is this the most colourful passenger train in Europe? Mainland Europe maybe the home of locos with advertising liveries...there are just a one or two dedicated freight examples in Britain...but when it comes to DMUs and EMUs we must surely be out front. This train is operated by Arriva and consists of an orange class 153 coupled to a red and green 150 unit. It was pictured at Cardiff Central on February 14th 2004.

Yet a further combination this time one orange and another blue class 153. The blue one is quite interesting as it was clearly previously operated by First North Western as you can see where the white door covers the gold star. Seen in Cardiff on the 14th February 2004.

cardiff-153-orange-jp.jpg (120149 bytes)

This orange class 153 single coach DMU is attached to the two car multi-coloured 150 in front making a truly remarkable looking train. We rail enthusiasts might prefer loco hauled trains but at least having units in these colourful liveries makes them of interest and well worth Photographing. Pictured at Cardiff Central on 14th February 2004.
