The Alphaline logo on the side of a Wessex Trains Class 158DMU at Bristol Temple Meads. Prior to privatisation the Alphaline brand was used for regional express serves accross the whole of the Provincial sector. Only the first generation private operator Wales and West and its successor companies (Wesex Trains and Wales and Borders) continued to use it. Since Arriva Trains Wales took over the Welsh franchise only Wessex Trains are still using the branding.
