ScotRail class 170/4 diesel trainsets in Strathclyde Passenger Transport livery. These two units were purchased by the manufacturer of the EMU 334 sets to compensate SPT for the very delayed entry into revenue service of the SPT 334 electric trainsets.

Two new 170 DMUs stabled in Haymarket Depot. They are in Strathclyde Passenger Transport (SPT) livery and I have read that they are in compensation for the delayed approval of SPT EMUs for passenger services.
