Newport station in South Wales - Arriva Trains Wales Class 175 DMU 175107 on a scheduled Northwest England or North Wales to Cardiff service is at platform 2. On the right, an Arriva Trains Wales shuttle service between here and Cardiff, top-and-tailed by locomotives, 50049 and 37425 - both in BR Large Logo livery, waits at platform 1 with the Class 50 at the head. The shuttle service is to cater for the extra demand generated by the Rugby Union Heineken Cup final between Munster and Biarritz at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
