86 207 City of Lichfield with Virgin Trains terminating service from Bristol Temple Meads, at Edinburgh Waverley platform 10. The driver of the late-arriving service rushed off after the train had arrived, forgetting to lock the cab door shut, against former BR regulations. This was the sort of circumstances under which the Abbeyhill accident occured in 1995, a ScotRail class 37, with brakes not fully applied and cab door left open, rolled down the hill onto the ECML, crashing head-on into an HST arriving from Cornwall.
