The accelerating power of the class 90 electric locomotive.

EWS/RfD 90 026 (Crewe Intenational Electric Maintaince Depot) moving away from a rake of ScotRail Mk.3 Sleeper coaches and a luggaug van (shown). The shutter time for this pic was a mere 3 seconds, but it managed to move out of the left hand side of the frame, having started from a dead stand. The features behind the locomotive are clearly visible.

This pic was taken without a tripod, inline with Railtrack regulations. By attaching my camera to a railway trolley with a set of laboratory boss & clamp, I was able to adhere to the Railtrack guidelines and save some money on a tripod.
