90002-blues-jp.jpg (118916 bytes)

This picture despite dingy conditions clearly shows the different shade of blue now on 'ONE' livered stock...90002 in the new lighter blue is attached to the original Mk III 'ONE' stock in the darker shade. Pictured whilst stopping at Stratford on the 22nd November 2004 with a London service.

al-90005-ONE-jp.jpg (121249 bytes)

Gone now virtually are the rainbow flashes of ONE livery although most class 90s operating the National Express Anglia services from London to Norwich still retain the original blue and black colours. This example 90005 was pictured at Stratford in 2007 whilst now May of 2008 silver and white are the new corporate colours.

eg-90007-vir-jp.jpg (143047 bytes)

Now just when you thought another livery variation could not appear on the ONE services to Norwich this does. The loco has been around for while but now it is accompanied Mk 3 coaches in Virgin livery and DVT! Shame the white lines along the side of the loco 90007 have been removed though. ga-90005-a-strat-jp.jpg (134738 bytes)

Yet another class 90 livery variation has appeared on Anglia services. All ex-Virgin West Coast class 90s are destined to make the move to 'ONE' but clearly some will operate in this 'Virgin un-branded' version before being put into 'ONE's rainbow colours. This example 90005 was pictured speeding a 'ONE' Anglia London bound train through Stratford on the 14th May 2004.

ga-90005-b-strat-jp.jpg (143382 bytes)

This was our first picture of a 'Virgin blank 90' that 'ONE' has brought in to boost their fleet. 90005 is heading towards London Liverpool Street on the 12th May 2004. Many pictures have been taken from this spot at Stratford...including quite a few of ours...but the hut just to the left can also be seen in some very old ones. How it has managed to survive so long is a mystery?

"One" 90 011 approaches Maryland, east London, with a Norwich to Liverpool Street service. Saturday, 17 November, 2007. D h Thomas thomdh@hotmail.com

history-mi-one-90-jp.jpg (159655 bytes)

HISTORY. The ONE branding is soon to be just that history! No there has not been a change of operator but National Express who recently aquired the ECML franchise want a single corporate identity so have decided to scrap the ONE name. After well over 3 years and just when there is a sense of ONE uniformity around it will all soon disappear...arguably a complete waist of resources particulary when rail fares in the UK are relatively high and recent increases are well above inflation. So its a case once more of picturing them whilst you can with ONE livered 90006 seen here on a Capital bound train on the 12th December 2007.

snow-e-90001-jp.jpg (123390 bytes)

Speeding towards London is this ONE service from Norwich with the pioneer class 90 on the front. 90001 has enjoyed much better fortunes than the last member of the class 90050 which is currently lanquishing at Crewe and looking unlikely to run again having been raided for spares. The place is Ingatestone and the day a snowy February 8th 2007.

sun-c-90008-jp.jpg (126514 bytes)

Although some London to Norwich services do make a stop at Stratford in this case the train, unusually on Platform 10a due to a points failure, speeds straight through with 90008 doing the pushing. The date is February 6th 2007.
