Would anyone believe me if I claimed that was the TOPS data panel from 91 026 which was taken on platform 21 of Edinburgh Waverley station? Someone can probably work it out from the distribution of dirt on the panel! This loco was at the back of a train heading for King’s Cross. If anyone needs that pic (it’s not very good, because platform 21 really isn’t the ideal place for locomotive photography), please e-mail me and I’ll send you the pic. I had fun trying to get this pic: you have to squeeze your head in between coach A and the locomotive. I figured that if the loco is about to move and crush my head, I’d hear the thryistor chopper being powered up and make that hoovering noise, but it still frightened me a little.
