Farewell to Eurostars on the Old Boat Train Route...

Continent-bound Eurostar seen at Dollands Moor, on the transitional tracks between Eurotunnel and Network Rail domains.

This set still uses the 750V live rail, but is about to switch to the 25kV-OHLE.

One can notice the voltage changeover panel "750 BR" for the transitional tracks, dating back to the early-90s, at a time when British Rail was still alive...

The New Continental Junction is further in background, right of the CTRL flyover.

Since 28th September 2003, this has been history, as Eurostar services are routed on CTRL in this area.
