National Coal Board Westoe Electric System No.14 (English Electric 2599, built 1959 by Bagueley), at Hilda Hole Sidings in October 1972. The loco in the background had brought members of Durham University Railway Society from Westoe Colliery to photograph this loco.

National Coal Board Westoe system E3 (Siemens 456, built 1909), is pulled out from the shed by No.2 during a visit by Durham University Railway Society in October 1972. The loco was scrapped in 1978.

National Coal Board North Durham Area No.7 of the Westoe electric system is pulled out of the shed by No.8 to be photographed by members of Durham University Railway Society in October 1972. Both locos were built by Kerr Stuart in 1911, works numbers 1202 and 1203, and were little-used by this time.

National Coal Board Westoe system No.9 (AEG 1565, built 1913) shunts the top end of Westoe Colliery in October 1972. The loco was sold for preservation at the Tanfield Railway, Marley Hill.
