Class 319 of Thameslink seen emerging from the Snow Hill Tunnel from the south end of Farringdon Station. This unit is still using the 750V DC live rail. When calling at Farringdon, it will switch to 25kV AC overhead.
These units were specifically built for the introduction of Thameslink services when the Snow Hill Tunnel was reinstated in 1988.
They were reliveried in 1997-98. A new livery is to be applied when the next refurbishment takes place in 2004-2005.
