Farewell to Slam-door units and to Connex running the South Eastern Trains franchise...
Standard-class/service car of a Class 423 of (ex-Connex) South Eastern Trains, seen upon turnaround at London-Victoria.
While these units have primarily been designed for suburban services (hence the numerous doors), one can often see them on Kent Coast services... This car has a service compartment and a small lugage van.
The livery is that applied by Connex in 1997-2000. A new livery is expected once South Eastern Trains has been refranchised by early-2005.
