Interiors of a Cab/First-class car of a Class 442 of South West Trains.

First-class accommodation on the 442s offers of a small saloon, and of a set of 6-seat compartments, served by this side corridor.

These units are often regarded as the best "Intercity" rolling-stock in Britain, although the Wessex Electrics ran under Network South East colours, not those of Intercity, in BR days.

They were refurbished and reliveried in 2000.
