Two different classes of South West Trains Desirio EMUs coupled together at London Waterllo station. On the left is Class 444 444007 while Class 450 450066 is on the right. The pairing is slightly odd as the Class 444s are express units (hence the white livery) while the 450's blue livery denotes the units are primarily for outer-suburban duties. Fleet, on a beautifully warm and clear Saturday evening, 18th June 2005 - much better than the previous Saturday ! The Past greets The Future - and who can say which will be remembered best in another 40 years time ? The Public edition of the South West Trains "Seaside Slammer" railtour (17.08 ex-Weymouth) approaches Fleet on the up main line, about five minutes off the pace, in hot pursuit of the 17.00 ex-Weymouth service. Class 421 3-CIG unit no. 1497 "Freshwater" leads Class 423 4-VEP unit no. 3417 "Gordon Pettitt".
