No: 71537, from SWT EMU No: 5739, is seen within this unit while on display at the South West Trains Bournmouth depot open day on Sunday 17th May 1998 at 09:21.
This car was originally a Class 508 TSO. Upon the transfer of all 4-car class 508's away from the SR to Merseyside during the 1980's, 1 TSO vehicle was removed from all of these units and were used to strenthen the Class 455/7's from 3-car to 4-car which were being built new at the time.
