Colourful Units.....a South West Trains Class 455 pictured at Barnes on the 14th July 2006. This livery
really brightens up what would otherwise be just a dreary old unit...all credit to SWT in my opinion at least!

Vestibule. In an attempt to contain dwelling times, doors slide deeper (by 5 inches overall) into their pockets than pre-refurbishment, meaning that 2 people may comfortably board or alight at the same time.
The red livery means that this fleet is confined to Inner-urban, "Metro" duties.

Class 455 arriving at Staines Station. Note the livery is the first attempt at Stagecoach livery and is based on the Network South East 'toothpaste' livery, using the Stagecoach colours. It it is interesing to note that this first version of corporate was to be applied to all units including express units such as the Wessex 442 units.

An interesting picture taken on 03 August 2003. Taken on the Windsor side of Clapham Junction, the old signal box and lack of urban background suggests that this could be a coutryside station. This side of the station saw the transportation of Oscar Wilde from London to Reading Gaol in 1899.
