A London Underground C-stock EMU on the Hammersmith & City Line approaches Royal Oak station. The front of the train destination indicator shows "Circle Line", meaning this train is probably fresh out of the depot and will form a Circle Line service once it reaches Edgware Road tube station. The Circle and Hammersmith & City Lines are run as one operational entity by London Underground.<br>
This photograph was taken from the window of a passing First Great Western HST en route to London Paddington.
