The mockup of the London Underground 2009 stock, which will replace the existing 1967 stock on the Victoria Line, was open to public viewing in a marquee in Euston Square Gardens for a couple of weeks in early August.<br>
The tip-up seats along one wall in the centre of the carraige allow extra room for standing passengers, or space for a wheelchair, for which reason the passenger alarm is located at a lower level here. My bag is on the seats to give some sort of indication of what they look like when down - the backrests are probably the least comfortable of any on British rolling stock.
