A close up look a Battery Loco L18 which has been used on engineering work on the Central Line near
Chigwell over the weekend of March 11th and 12th 2006. Some examples of these locos were built by
British Rail Engineering in the mid 1970s but the basic design  goes back much further... at least to
the 1950s and quite possible beyond that. This loco is yellow whilst others are blue but we are 
not aware this means there are any difference between the two.
