Mile End London Underground station is unique in being the only below ground station to offer cross-platform interchange between sub-surface and deep-level lines. It is also the only station from which you can reach every other station on the network with a maximum of one change (although this is only true of Chesham station, the most northerly on the network at the far end of the Metropolitan line, in the peak hours, at other times a second change is needed at Chalfont and Latimer).
This photograph shows the platforms seriving sub-surface District and Hammersmith and City lines, the deep-level Central line calls at the two outer platforms.
