This is L11 which worked as the Acton Works shunter in 1964 until it was surplus there and transferred to Ruislip in June 1989. It was stored in 1991 and joined the LU Heritage fleet which never got off the ground. An arrangement between London Underground and Cravens Heritage Trains allowed it ti be moved to its new home at Epping in 2004 for external restoration as a static exhibit adjacent to Epping Signal Cabin.

HISTORIC NOTE. The first Tube trains to run on the Central Line via Loughton to Epping in 1948 would have been of a similar appearence to this. This picture taken in August 2006 shows the shunter being restored to its maroon livery,
