The view through the rather grubby front window of Tyne and Wear Metro train 4089 as it approaches the Stadium of Light station in Sunderland. Named for the home stadium of local football team Sunderland United, it is possible to travel direct from here to St James station in Newcastle - less than two minutes walk from St James' Park, home of local rivals Newcastle United FC. Although possible to travel direct, it is about and hour quicker to change trains at Monument and cut out the North Tyneside Loop section of the Yellow line.
