Trackwork at Dyce station about 10km north east of Aberdeen (Scotland). On the rearmost rail can be seen two wires that maintain track circuit electrical continuity over the rail-break. The nearest rail is attached to the baseplates with typical Pandrol type rail clips. In the foreground, point rodding and wires that control the mechanical points and signals. This tried and tested technology has been used in Britain for at least 150 years... Photo by Bill Harrison (bill.harrison@dsl.pipex.com) 9 April 2007
