Looking south from the bridge between Ryde hoverport and Ryde Esplanade rail and bus station on the Isle of Wight. The tunnel visible is the principal reason for the use of ex-London Underground tube-guage trains on the island.
The crossover in the foreground is the most northerly set of points on the island, meaning that as only one platform at Ryde Pier Head station is structurally sound, only one platform at Ryde Esplanade (about a hundred yards behind the camera) is in use.
