Like the previous year's diesel gala's at the Bo'Ness & Kinneil Railway, the option to drive a locomotive for £5 from one end of Bo'Ness station to the other was on offer again. With the line's resident class 47/4, No: 47643 passing with a Birkhill - Bo'Ness service, 25235 awaits clearance back into Bo'Ness station while being used on the aforementioned drive-a-loco trips on the 4th September 1999.
