Old German tram seen at the Great Central Railway, it looks very similar to the type operated in Berlin, though identification is difficult. Picture taken July 2001.

According to Christoph Heuer, this is the tram 412 with trailer 41 of Krefeld, which were given as a gift to their partner city Leicester. The trailer is the last of its kind, a two axle leightweight trailer which was also used in Essen, Neuss, Duisburg and Köln.

From memory a poster inside stated that this Gresley coach was the last of its type to remain in service...possibly until the mid 1970's..and was also painted into Blue Grey. Pictured during the Great Central Railway's Diesel Gala in September 2004.
