Looking north from the northern end of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway platform at Smallbrook Junction station. The Island Line is behind the fence on the right. The wagons appear to be being used as buffers at the end of the headshunt to the runaround loop for the steam railway. The signal on the right is for the Island Line. The entire purpose of this station, constructed in 1994, is to serve as an interchange between the two railways. There is no road or footpath access so the station is open only when both Island Line and Isle of Wight Steam Railway trains are operating.

a radial tank due to the radial axle beneath the cab. She is currently visiting the IoW from the Bluebell Railway.

0-6-2t 'Birch Grove' is currently on loan from the Bluebell Railway and is spending part of the Summer on the Isle of Wight.
One remarkable feature of this loco is that she retains her original boiler number 891 fitted new in July 1898. It had been used by various other
Brighton Tanks before being refitted in 1960. She is pictured at the delightfully rural western end of the line Wootton.
