NYMR_No.29_Grosmont_5.7.1976. UK heritage steam in the 1960s and 1970s. North Yorkshire Moors 0-6-2T No.29 (Kitson 4263/1904), passes the engine shed at Grosmont for the long climb to Goathland, on 5th July 1976. Built for Lambton Collieries it operated there until steam locomotive working at Lambton ended in February 1969 - 65 years service. Since moving to the NYMR, No.29 has been - periods of overhaul excepted - a regular performer and continues as such today. roger.griffiths@hotmail.com
