Although initially the VOLKS RAILWAY in Brighton might appear to be just another seaside attraction it is actually
the OLDEST remaining operating electric railway in the WORLD having opened in August 1883.

The passing loop between Black Rock and the stop at Peter Pans Playground clearly shows the third 'centre' power rail.
This carries 110 volts...enough to give you quite a shock but hopefully insufficient to bring about your demise should
you come into contact with it!
