Minehead station, seen here looking from the eastern end of the platform, is the western terminus of the West Somerset Railway. BR Class 4MT 2-6-4 no 80136 is at platform 2 on the left, while the Class 117 DMU is just visible at platform 1. In the sidings to the right of the station is 14 <i>St John</i>, a Hunslet Engine Co. 0-6-0ST owned by the Severn Valley Railway that travels the country playing the part of <i>Thomas</i> at the popular Thomas and Friends events at many heritage railways.
