Signal SN26, located adjacent to Royal Oak London Underground station, on the approach to London Paddington. Like the other signals on this gantry it is capable of display only danger (red) and caution (yellow) aspects, the latter in conjunction with a route indicator. The route indicator displayed here, 14, indicates that the next train to pass this signal will be terminating at platfrom 14 at Paddington station.
The large "6" above the signal indicates this is the signal for line 6. I beleive these signs are a legacy of the Ladbroke Grove rail crash where the identification and sighting of signal SN109 was a key factor.
