Clifton Down railway station on the severn Beach Line serves the Clifton area of Bristol, and is a short walk from the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge. This photograph is taken looking east from the bridge that carries St John's Road over the railway a short distance west of the station.<br>
The station building on the left is now no longer in railway use but home to an Australian theme pub. The car park and buildings on the right, inlcuding the large shopping centre behind the westbound platform, are built on the site of the station's large goods yard.
