Looking east at the western end of Cardiff Central railway station, where a First Great Western HST (the powercar is possibly 43036) and an FGW Class 158/9 DMU (likely 158966) are visible at platforms 1 and 3. The wide span of the canopy on the very right of the images belies the former location of the now-missing platform 5 - a westfacing bay platform.
