Looking south from the southern end of platform 3 at Castle Cary railway station in Somerset, trains departing this platform are services on the branch line to Weymouth, which curves round to the left. The double-tracked line on the right (on which the 100mph speed limit presumably applies) is the mainline to Taunton.
