Edinburgh Waverley Station is situated in a depression
between the 'New Town' to the left and the 'Old Town'
to the right. Balmoral Hotel with its clock tower
stands prominently on the left-hand side, Waverley Bridge in front
and North Bridge in the rear cross above the station.
A Scotrail shuttle to Glasgow Queen Street is just
leaving the platform and will shortly enter one of the
tunnels under the museum.
