Edinburgh Waverley Station is situated in a depression
between the 'New Town' to the left and the 'Old Town'
to the right. Scott Monument (named after the poet who wrote
the Waverley novels) on the far left,Balmoral Hotel with its
clock tower in the centre, Waverley Bridge in front
and North Bridge in the rear cross above the station.
