A 180° panorama from the eastern end of platform 1 at Gloucester station. On the left of the image is the rest of the station - as this is the longest platform in the country (602.69 metres / 1977 ft. 4 ins.) you might have to look hard to see it.
In the centre of the image is Gloucester Horton Road yard, presently home to a Serco tamper, two Class 47 locomotioves (one in unbranded and unnumbered Cotswold Rail livery and the other in fully-branded Railfreight Distribution livery), a very folorn looking Class 31 locomotive in Dutch livery, and a lot of grass and weeds.
On the right of the picture is Horton Road level crossing, the junction (for the north or south line) and a recently failed DRS Class 37 locomotive.
