Looking east along platforms 2 and 1 from beneath the footbridge at Gloucester station. Platform 1 is a continuation of platform 2 which starts after the signal and is currently host to a First Great Western Class 143 DMU. Both platforms 1 and 2 can accommodate full length HSTs, giving an appreciation of just how long the platform is (its the longest in the country).
Just about visible behind platform 4 on the left are Cotswold Rail Class 47 locomotive 47200, Midland Mainline-liveried HST powercar 43193, one of the MML-liveried mark 3 coaches and, at the far end, ex-Virgin Trains HST powercar 43157.
