Looking west from a short distance west from the eastern enf of platform 2 at Gloucester, just west of where the desgination changes to platform 1, which is a continuation of the same platform face to the eastern end of the station. At a combined length of 602.69 metres (1977 ft. 4 ins.) this is the longest platform in the country - both platforms are long enough to take full length HST sets.<br>
Platform 4 on the right is a standard length platform.
