Patchway junction, viewed from the southern end of platform 1 at Patchway station. This junction is the northernmost of the four junctions at the corners of the diamond-shaped crossroads of lines that allows access from here to Bristol Parkway (straight on), Filton Abbey Wood/Bristol Temple Meads (right) and Avonmouth (right then right again, used only by freight trains).<br>
In this view the points are set for an eastbound train to head towards Stoke Gifford Junction and Bristol Parkway, while the next westbound train will be comming from Bristol Temple Meads (via Filton Junction) or Avonmouth (via Filton West Junction).
