The green ferry in the foreground is the cross-harbour link to Gosport, while the yellow and white is the Whightlink FastCat high speed cataraman service to Ryde Pier Head railway station on the Isle of Wight.

I beleive people on the track were assesing the damage done to a bridge/lineside structure caused by a vandal.
