Looking south from the northern end of the sole operational platform at Shanklin on the Isle of Wight, the southern terminus of the Island Line, the line originally extended further south to Ventnor but was curtailed in the 1950s.<br>
Island Line Class 483 (ex-London Underground 1938 stock) EMU 483006 at Shanklin is between services to and from Ryde Pier Head.
