Westbury-Wilts--01.jpg (103058 bytes)

A view of Westbury station in Wiltshire looking south from the northern end of platform 1 - it is clear that the station was originally designed with two island platforms, but the face to the left has since been removed and fenced of from the bypas line.
Although all the station signs, and the destination on my tickets to get here, say just "Westbury" the name of the station is shown as Westbury (Wilts) online and in almost all timetables, etc.

Westbury station in Wiltshire was originally designed with two island platforms to give four faces, however only three are currently in use. The line to the platform on the opposite side of the island to the current platform 1 has been lifted and the platform edge fenced off, the bypass line remains however.
